Phd2 PolarAlign

The PolarAlign in phd2 does look good , having the option to  set up via  Eqmod or manually unlike sharpcap though probably has an edge over sharpcap in that it only needs one star to calibrate  and you don’t need to slew 90 degrees like like sharpcap , there is two videos by ken on YouTube

this the manual option but he is doing one for the automated way ,

Seems to take forever?? Still think the old way of doing PA but now using Synscan Wifi is simpler and quicker??

(I use PHD 1.2 anyway!)

Cheers

I’m hoping now the pier is installed alfresco I won’t have to faff about so much, so PA hopefully should not take so long to do

That's for sure Dave, at my last house I had a pier set up with a roll-over small shed. All I had to do was roll back the shed, swing the scope upto the home position and Polaris was always in the polar scope, just tweeked it into position and started alignment!

Good luck with it ?
