Popular Post Doc Posted June 10, 2018 Popular Post Share Posted June 10, 2018 Here's a few photos from our week in the Isle of Wight. Our cottage we rented. Very peaceful, extremely dark and quiet. Wildlife was great with regular woodpeckers visiting us while we sat in the gardens, also a resident red squirrel that sometimes made an appearance. Only problem no wifi or 3G. And surrounded by trees so no horizons. The Needles on the South Western corner of the IOW The rocket silos that are positioned at the needles after WW2 A very small church at Bonchurch, the church was rebuilt in 1070 so very old. philjay Posted June 10, 2018 Share Posted June 10, 2018 Went there a few years ago for the first time, the week before it had been the hottest week of the year, the week we went it RAINED. Still enjoyed it though. We went to the rocket testing place as well. Did you go to the IOW Planetarium Mick? Its in one of the old forts, cant remeber which one. I remember the cable car ride down over the cliffs to the Needles beach all too well. It frightened me half to death. I don't do heights very well.....
