EQ5 GOTO Skyscan

Hi Guys

I have bought a used Skywatcher EQ5 GOTO Skyscan Mount.

I need to go through the setting up of the Skyscan through the handset but have no instruction manual.

could anyone guide me through the setting up ?

There are manuals online, here: http://skywatcher.com/download/manual/goto-mounts/ (I recalled downloading one for an NEQ6 when I had gear!)

I have looked at that but it does not cover Skyscan for EQ5 equatorial Mount unfortunately

I had a look through Graham, the EQ5 is not a lot different to the HEQ5, I think you could use that without a problem??

Ron is correct. 

Absolutely no difference between the eq and the heq. 

Exactly the same handset and same procedure.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. One point, is polar alignment not so stringent with a goto Mount ?

Depends on what you want to do  if its just visual then if its slightly off the goto will sort itself out but your tracking will be not so accurate as if youve taken time to PA, (tracking accuracy has nothing to do with goto except it uses the same RA motor)
