Recommended Posts

Over the past 3 weeks when out with my Binos im attracted to observing a triangle of Stars i found above Altair. around midnight

Is there a particular name for this triangle

It consists of from what i can see of about 9 stars making the triangle and another in the middle.

Fits perfectly in my FVO of approx 8 degrees nicely.

That's the Coat hanger, or Brocchi's cluster. It is very nice to look at.

Imagine it the other way up and you'll see it as a coat hanger. ?
