I'm surprised you have much viewable sky with all those hedges and trees Graham.

Is there any plans or is it make it up as you go along.

Looking good though.

The plans are in my head Mick.

I know exactly what I want to end up with and how to get there.

I just do not write it down.

The skies are extremely good here in the winter time when all the green has gone.

I will crop the hedges just dont like disturbing all the nesting birds and my Hedgehogs.

Got a bit more done this afternoon.

Front wall built just needs cladding.

Then the scope and I had our first argument.

I lost.

Ouch ?

I think the scope will always win Graham.

Obsy looking great. Are you going to insulate it? I'm not sure if that is what you do with an obsy. Is it a good idea or not.

Ouch

Did the same the other day -I did not swear much honest.

Good point about the birds and thats why mine have not been trimmed - I typed before I thought.

Should be a good obs when finished

Thanks for all the kind words.

I am not a fan of insulating Obs's

I like to leave my scopes at ambient temperature so there is no cool down time.

I on the other hand will be the other side of that little window sat in a centrally heated room all nice and cosy.

The only argument I can make for insulation is I will be moving my Lathe and other kit into the front part of the obs, but if it is too cold to use it in the winter I will just do the stuff at work or wear a coat.

Had another good day with this today.

All the walls are up and trimmed and that is as far as I can go for now.

Next job whilst I am waiting for some more timer to be delivered next Friday is get the floor leveled off, concreted and screeded so I can move the lathe.

I can then finish off the last wall and put the door in.

Once that is done I can build the roll off roof and construct the pagoda which will carry the roof when it is open.

Made the wheels for the roof today.

Machined from 70mm Delrin Bar.

Should be nice and quiet and maintenance free.
