We were over in the Dolomites a couple of weeks ago, and found these butterflies crowed around a trickle of water having a drink. It was a bit like fairyland, there were dozens.

Not sure what they were .. Looked in the book and I'm guessing Silver Studded Blue.

Any ideas Mick?

My friend has the Collins butterfly book for Europe and they list over 80 species of blue butterflies. I must admit they do look like Silver studdied blues Dave.
