I'm a empty nester

I have mixed emotions today, My daughter and her long-term boyfriend moved into their house yesterday.

They are not far from us but it's a big change for my wife and I.

If you'd have told me when I was a kid that I would have a "child" at home after my 63rd birthday, I'd never have believed you.

Well, a change might be good, and at least they are not far away. ?

I felt similar when my daughter went to uni at Newcastle upon Tyne. She's been there over 3 years now and has settled there. My son will be next in a years time. Maybe we'll have to get more dogs. ?

The house never seems empty with dogs. Andy is sitting on the sofa with me right now.

That is definitely true. I think dogs can only improve one's mood, unlike people sometimes. ?
