I was lucky to find a couple of Ruddy Shelducks today and after taking a few photos of them I turned round and in front of me perched on a dead tree was this stonking Kestral. I'm waiting for Sigma to bring out a similar range zoom for the Sony A7 series, although it may not be in that high a range. We shall see. When i'm driving at work i'm often treated to 'Buzzard close encounters'. Occasionally i've passed one sitting on a fence post just watching me not 10 meters away as i trundle past at low speed.
