This is a gadget I'd never envisaged.

Swap eyepieces via Bluetooth, only 9300.00 euros!!

Amazing, get one for each scope!

I honestly don't think i've ever seen anything so ridiculous in all my years in the hobby.

That things chewing up a whole load of lightpath on the back of that SCT

Its probably lost at least 2" of aperture before you even try to focus it.

It must be a nightmare to balance. Can you imagine watching it slewing on an equatorial ? ?

There was actually a thread over on CN about this a couple of years ago ; although

they ended up 'locking it' due to the bashing it received.

It belongs on an April 1st slot.......

I like gadgets, but I really can't think of anything more cumbersome and unnecessary than that.

Only a millionaire stargazer would even consider one.

But, maybe they are flying off the shelves. ?

That looks like a very nicely made cheeseboard. ?

I don't get the imaging side of it.

At the end of the day its only eyepiece projection, which never gives very good results anyway.

And surely, why would you go down this route when you could just use a zoom ?

I thought the npae turret was a bit OTT and very pricey at £2000, but at least that incorporates a diagonal so doesn't extend the light path.

Slightly more practical and a bit cheaper.

It's all going to end up a dewy mess anyway. I am picking up a vibe that you aren't to impressed, it does look like there will be a few on the second hand market pretty soon.

Fingers crossed Martyn, you might be lucky and pick one up second-hand for 5 or 6 grand. But you'd also need to invest in extra dew control. ?

I am sure my big nose would foul up on the other eyepieces...! You would need a 50 piece turret anyway Pete! ?
