House Sparrows at Rutland Water

Here is a few House Sparrow photos I took while at Rutland Waters. I also got a new tick with the party of four Bewick Swans. Also at least 5 Great White Egrets around but these were too far away for good photos.

There were some velvet scoter two weeks ago at thrapston gravel pit not sure if still there

They are great birds David and quite unusual to see them on gravel pits, normally with common scoters out at sea.

 

I was at Tredlethorpe a few weeks ago and saw a few amoungst 200 common scoters.
