Yes, I think the moon is going to drown it out within a couple of days. ☹️

 

But at least, once the moon has moved away a bit after christmas it will be much higher. Just hope it stays bright.

Had a nice half hour carol singing on the street with hot mince pies and hot mulled wine, raising money for cancer research. About 40 people turned up. ?

 

Then while still reasonably dark adapted, I got my 15x70s on the comet. Very easy to find to the left of Capella but quite starlike tonight, with little fuzzyness visible.
