That looks superb Graham. ?

What material are you planning on using for the OTA structure? Is it mainly aluminium or steel?

All going to be made from a special steel we use at work.

Only 3mm thick but has the strength and rigidity of 6mm.

I hope to get the scope powder coated black at work if I can sneak it through.

The mount will be red.

Looks well cool Graham, what happening to the horseshoe mount you built?

Once I had mapped it out on the floor in the obs it was just too big so it never saw the light of day.

No this is a sort of mild steel.

Used to be called Domex but is now called Strengthtex.

Not heard of that, but just googled it. Looks like it comes in various specs up to over 4x the tensile strength of normal steel! It also seems to have other advantages in workability. Excellent stuff for the job. ?

It's only fault is has a grain so bends have to be at 45 degrees plus to the grain otherwise it can crack.

Tend to waste a lot of sheet when cutting stuff and having to allow for bends.
