djpaul Posted January 31, 2019 Share Posted January 31, 2019 Just home from work. Good clear night so just out for a while with my celestron 15x70 and 8x43 hawke frontiers. A quick look at Orion nebula. Then found the bee hive cluster for the first time. Using Sirius and Procyon to guide me in a straight line. Tweedledee Posted January 31, 2019 Share Posted January 31, 2019 The beehive should give a very pleasant view in either scope, and should easily fit the field of your big Nagler on the 120ed. ? While you're setup you should be able to locate lots of other bright DSO's from your star atlas or planetarium program.
