Focus wheel

Hello nice people?

I have just had a skywatcher 150p. Now I have a question about the focus wheel. I can still turn the wheel with ease when it reaches its maximum focusing distance and when i reel it all the way back in the focus wheel can still be turned easily. On my last telescope I had the wheel stopped in its tracks when the focuser was at its maximum or minimum. For this scope is it normal or is there a manufacturer fault? It focuses ok, it's just the wheel can still turn when it's out it's furthest and all the way in.

Thank you ?

Your old scope probably had a rack and pinion so it would stop at each end of its travel.

The new one will be a friction drive so there is nothing to stop the knob turning when it reaches the end of travel.

Perfectly normal.
