i`m interested in an AF1 for my William optics GT 81, the thing that concerns me is that the rubber timing belt connects to the fine focus knob of the focuser, this spindl on the fine focus knob is very thin and small diameter and i`m worried it will put undue stress on the shaft, anyone had any experience with this or am i being over concerned ?

Mine run on the fine focus on both my scopes the belt is not overly taught and there is a bit of flex in the bracket Pavel supplies so it should be fine, any questions though drop Pavel an email he will be more than helpful to you .

To save me emailing Pavel, am I correct in thinking that the only connection I would really need on the wifi AF2 is the power lead, nothing else? Do we know what voltage it will need?

Cheers.

Do we know if it can be wifi controlled from a laptop?

Both - you can control it from any device that has Wifi connectivity via web browser. I will soon prepare a demonstration with a field test results on YT  ?
