Cut and fabricated the riser I need to get the scope to the correct height in the obs. Will need to wait until the weekend to get it welded into place. I have decided to remove the old mount base from its adjusting plate and keep the base top plate as is. This will give me another means of alignment adjustment. Riser in place. I then made the Polar scope attachment. The two ends are machined from Nylon and are a perfect fit in the bearing housings. The tube is also a perfect machined fit into the Nylon end blocks. Top Nylon block in place with the end of the tube protruding from it. Bottom Nylon block in place with the other end of the tube protruding from it. The Black center boss will be machined out to accept the polar scope from my HEQ 5. It is also a perfect machine fit for the inside of the tube. The net result is a perfectly aligned polar scope running up through the RA axis. This will allow me to polar align and secure the mount before I build it up with the DEC axis.
