Targets for 2019 (and on!)

Decided having got a book from the Astro show last week to try and image as many Messier objects as I can.

The book gives the co-ordinates and best months/times to image them all although some aren't possible from the UK!

Some of them are a bit boring and just open clusters etc. and some are quite difficult and low in the sky but it will bring a bit more purpose to the year.

I will still drift off and grab some NGC's and IC's I'm sure!!

Cheers

Ron

Good plan Ron. What was the book? Last time I was in RVO they has a book called something like the "top 100 astrophotography targets"

Well added 2 extra M's last night despite the guiding playing up.

M97  and M108.

M97 40 x 45s dithered so no no darks

M108 25 x 45 secs, no darks.

I tried M109 but I need the guiding to work for that, but upto 23 M's imaged.

I'm missing 12 and they are all to low to see, maybe they are possible to image, I look forward to seeing if you can do it.

There's only 110! A lot of them are in groups so easy to get 2 or 3 on an evenings imaging.

There are 20 I've yet to see!!

M11 is one of my favourites ; it never disappoints from a dark sky.

I still don't get the duck thing though......? ?
