dither scale

Finally worked out with a bit of help how to work out the dither settings in APT using the calculator on Sgl 

guideCapture

so adither scale in phd2 of 1.0 moves guide camera 5 pixel  a setting of  Distance in APT dither setting of 2  will give a dither of 10 pixels,  2x5 pixels  took ages for that to click with me i was using a distance of 5 so was doing a 25 pixel dither

Ron what guidescope are you using a qhy mini guide scope with a qhy5l-11mono cam

Yup, mini guider/finder scope and a QHY5R-11 colour cam.

Changed custom  guide camera to 5.6 um  for your camera  your ratio is 1.4.53 so phd scale value of 1.0 and APT Distance 3 would give you a 12 pixel dither which is about right for the 1000d
