Phil you need to rethink your capture or processing or both.

I am sorry but that image is awful.

There is no detail it is all grainy noise.

Phil why dont you use the Life cam I gave you instead of the DSLR.

You will get much better images from a stacked AVI.

Tune it using an eyepiece.

as I have told you sevearl times before and as Graham above USE A WEBCAM

An appointment at specsavers as most of your images are out of focus.

Phil

Tunethe PST as per Steves recommendations and nail the focus with the eyepiece so you can see detail through the eyepiece with your eye. You dont stand a chance of taking a decent photo if the PST is not in focus, all you will get is an out of focus disc.

If using a DSLR with the lens fitted I would advise using the cameras live view, if your camera has it. Switch to live view then magnify the image and focus your camera till you can see the detail of the suns surface, spots, proms, etc sharp and clear.

If you dont have live view use the camera eyepiece and make sure the image you see through the camera viewfinder is in focus and you can actually see the detail you saw with the eyepiece.

Only then press the shutter, then try various exposures (speed, arpeture, ISO) until you get the detail coming through.

Alternatively invest in a webcam this will give you more image scale and control.
