Bitterns at Woodwalton Fen

Doc

Recommended Posts

Went on a trip to Woodwalton Fen with Ron today. Saw loads of birds including three Bitterns who were oblivious to us sitting in the hide. Bitterns are normally super secret and hardly ever show so well pleased with these.

Brilliant Mick, thank you. Did you find out what that Dragonfly you photographed was??

The first one was a new tick for me it was a scarce chaser female. The second one was a Hairy Hawker but I've seen a few of them.

Stunning Mick. Have seen them a few times, including flying, but as you say, they are so secretive. Brilliant work?
