WANTED -- Old style guider cable for a Lodestar. - FOUND

Graham

Recommended Posts

Anyone out there got an old style Lodestar guide cable knocking about in a box.

It is the much maligned flat 5 pin connector to standard RJ12 ST4 connector cable.

Thanks

Thanks David.

Seen that and in fact have all the bits to build one sitting in the workshop.

So you want a standard ST4 cable ? with lodestar end

That is about it Steve.

The MK 1 Lodestar had a rectangular connector socket in the back of the camera where the MK 2 had the RJ 11 / 12 socket.

I have the MK 1 camera.

I have now ordered in a Hitec-astro usb ST 4 box of tricks.

That should cover all my future requirements.

do you want me to make one up?

It will not be as pretty as the "proper" one

No thanks Steve.

Very kind of you to offer but I will be sorted when this box of tricks arrives from Dave at Hitec.

Once that gets here which should be on Monday I can ditch this awful QHY 5 II I am using at the moment and get back to using my Lodestar.

Well the box of tricks has arrived from Hi tec and is now fitted to the scope and plumbed in.

This means I can now use my Lode star for guiding.

Just need a clear night to test it out.

I won't be holding my breath until that happens ?
