How " NOT " to park a lorry.

This incident happened on the main A12 / A14 Junction at Ipswich tonight at 5 O'clock tonight slap bang in the middle of the Friday evening rush hour.

Not only did it bring absolute chaos to both main roads and the town center in the rush hour but was compounded by the fact thousands of people were coming into Ipswich for a concert by Rod Stewart.

As you can see the lorry was left hanging precariously over the side of the fly over above the A14.

Quiet how it never went right over I don't think anyone knows but thank god it didn't as the A14 below would have been bumper to bumper with fast moving traffic.

The driver had to be rescued by the Fire service but only suffered minor injuries.

Both roads are still closed as they try to figure out how the heck to recover it.

Very carefully Ron. ?

One wrong move and it and the recovery team will end up down below..

Might be safer to let it drop and then clean up the mess.

Looks nasty, I wonder how they will move it?

If it was Derby it would be a 6 week job.

Hell yes.

At that time of the evening with four lanes of solid traffic travelling around 60 to 70 MPH if it had gone through and down it would have been absolute carnage.

Nah, it wouldnt happen in Derby because all roads are closed with roadworks, marathons, sewer repairs, fibre optic installation, bridge building/repair or just for the hell of it.

It would take them a week to do a 'risk assessment' ?
