OAG set up.

I have had this OAG nearly 2 years and have never used it, the finder scope works well so why change?

I want to take my Adventurer mount to Kelling using the ED80 and Canon 1000dm and want to keep the weight down.

So I thought of using the OAG instead of the finderscope.

Is this image train correct, I could not see a different way of doing it with the spacer/flattener that I have.

Comments please? I have not focused it yet but if the image train looks correct I will try before I go on holiday next week!

The train look ok to me.

But it also looks too long between the flattener and the camera chip, could be an optical illusion.

What is the correct distance for your flattener.

55mm, have not checked it yet! Spent most of the time sorting out adaptors!!

Worked out to remove the spacer from the 'train', easier to focus now I think.

Sky clearing here so I may be able to test it tonight!!
