Yes it is the shed engineered peltier. Works great so far. Much less noise compared to the standard camera.

So the pettier  via copper plate is sucking heat out through  the screw  fixing on underside of camera only  Kev .

With the original version, yes that was the case.

 

Whilst performing the full-spectrum modification, I also made an internal thermal contact between the metal of the tripod hole and the sensor frame with copper tape (Sadly I don't have any photos). That was version 2.

 

The final mod was a vertical copper plate thermally epoxyed to the cold plate, which contacts the rear face of the camera, behind the tilting display. This has had a very noticeable effect of further reducing recorded temps.

 

I'll update my build thread in due course.
