Roll on/off shed obsy build

RonC

Recommended Posts

I'm changing my 'lift off' type obsy for a roll on/off type, similar to the one I had at my previous house.

I've sourced a shed, the timber, the wheels and track and will update this thread as i go.

First the shed plan.

Started today with fixing the wheels/casters onto two plinths. getting them straight was a pain but they are adjustable if I need to alter them.

It will be painted the same colour as the shed behind..

Apparently it should be called a ' shedatory'. You live and learn! waiting for the shed lorry to arrive!

Well the shed arrived at 8am this morning (minus the roofing felt!) .

So after work about 1.30 pm I started erecting it, the wind was a problem and the odd shower didn't help but

managed to get it somewhere near finished about 7 pm! I had some spare roofing felt and have temporarily covered the roof.

Biggest problems were the doors! I attached them with the base rolled back but when I pulled the shed too the doors were all

over the place!! Eventually re-hung them in the forward position and all seems OK now..

Still a work in progress as I have the front to finish and new felt when it arrives..

Fantastic Ron, I’ll try and drop in on one of my regular Newark visits. I was impressed with your original swing-off version, this looks like it will be just great......

Bit more done today, strong padlock and  a rear skirt added.

Put the NEQ6 mount in and there's plenty of room to fir the scope in the Home position..

Still got to sort the bottom front and barge boards etc.. but it's started to rain hey ho!!!

had an idea today, to stop the shed rolling backwards AND to keep the runners clean I have

put some sawn timber in the running slot to do both jobs!!

And this is what I wanted, the mount and scope (150PDS) set up ready in the home position.
