Moon 031219 reprocessed

Recommended Posts

Finally had the chance to reprocess the image of the moon taken on 3rd Dec with my Canon EOS200D and 400mm F5.6 lens.  I 'salvaged' 8 images that didn't seem too badly effected by the increasing light cloud on the night.  Not having Registax or Autostakkert (I probably won't be doing much planetary type imaging and trying keeping the PC free of unused software these days) I used IRIS to 2x drizzle stack the 8 RAW images and then used the Richardson-Lucy deconvolution algorithm to sharpen the resulting image (seemed to give slightly better results than using the wavelets function) before restoring a bit of colour similar to that of the JPEGS straight out of the camera.
