Between it getting dark and the clouds covering the target I only managed a total 9 minutes worth of images (6 x 90s).  At ISO 3200 and with so few subs, the final image is very noisy.  Still, better

I would have been even more pleased if I had managed to get more imaging time! I was intending to image M42 but it doesn't rise (from behind the neighbours house until 19:00 ish) so with the clouds expected to come in before then (which they did at around 18:00) I gave M45 a go starting at 17:45. Still tomorrow night is looking better around here so everything's crossed.
