Struggled to load the images from your orginal post but I'm glad I did. They are superb, I like to see colours other than just red in an image. Presumably image 1 is the same as image 2 but with the stars re-added? If so, it certainly works. I'm guilty of stretching images so that I end up with bloated stars hiding the interesting stufff so it's definitely something I will try.

Its also a stand alone. I used it to remove the narrowband stars and layered ib the rgb ones in the jellyfish image.

Somebody on here (sorry can't remember who it was) mentioned it a good few months ago.

That looks like an excellent tool. As it can be used stand alone, I will definitely download it and give it a try.

Downloaded the standalone version of Starnet last night. (50+ min for a 450M file! They must have a slow server, glad I wasn't in a hurry.) Sorry to see it can only be used with already stretched images, my intention was to use it on the linear data and then apply the stretch. So does anyone know how stretched the input image needs to be?

Just as the stars start to come through.
