Campsites in mid wales?

Recommended Posts

Planning to head off with the caravan in search of dark skies, somewhere near Rhyadaer in mid Wales. Anyone know of any good campsites around there that would be good for astrophotography?

We went on the steam train and Harry enjoyed it as well as us.

The only downside was the fair sized hill to the south.

Using that dark sky map the campsite we go to in Wales has a value of 0.31  .......  My home address is a 4.31 !

Far darker skies although being sat at the bottom of Cadir Idris does mean views are a bit restricted in most directions .... but if you look up  then it's amazing!
