Picture of the Month February 2020

Wow what a wet and windy month, storm following storm but despite that folks have been out grabbing photons, well done to all. There's been some great images posted and here is a précis round up:

Comets etc

Graham posted his hits for February

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17314-februarys-collection-of-hits/

Deep Sky

Ibbo gave us a really nice Cone and Foxfur, nice processing and plenty of data.

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17247-cone-foxfur-ha-more-data/

Sheila also had a bash at this here

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17241-ngc2264/

Allan the Plumber went deep with the Flaming Star Nebula, tons of data in there, well done

ttps://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17221-ic410-and-ic405-flaming-star-nebula/

Allan also gave us IC410 in Hubble

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17206-ic410-tadpoles/

and the California Nebula

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17236-california-nebula-ngc-1499-sho/

plus a Bubble Nebula

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17270-bubble-nebula-ngc7635-sho/

A well done to Ron Clarke for bagging a low M41, I know how difficult this one is from our latitudes

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17213-finally-got-my-nemesis-messier/

and he also bagged M82 and 51

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17257-m51-and-82/

and a Monkey and Bode

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17308-the-monkeys-head-nebula-and-bodes-nebula/

ChrisP managed to catch a bit of IFN with M81 and M82

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17250-m81m82-a-tiny-bit-of-ifn-in-rgb/

plus a deep Rosette

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17278-rosette-nebula/

and plus an M106

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17282-m106-plus-a-few-friends/

Ibbo also grabbed M81 and M82 separately then mosaiced them here

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17288-m8182-2-pane-mosaic/

and ngc891

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17309-ngc891-lrgb/

Derbyshire Dave gave us M81 & 82

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17311-bodes-the-cigar-and-ngc-3077/

Lunar

Chris P started the month off with an Earthshine Moon

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17192-earthshine-and-lunar-v/

and later in the month

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17303-earthshine-moon-27th-feb-2020/

Planetary

Ibbo gave us a shot of Venus with cloud detail

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17232-venus-uvirir-a-bit-of-cloud-detail/

Sunnyphil gave us a Venus too

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17272-venus/

Then the Venus and Moon proximity was captured by

Ron Clarke

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17301-the-moon-venus/

and even I managed to get out with a cam

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17302-moon-and-venus-2702202/

and Ibbo

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17304-venus-luna-26-2-2020/

Solar

Ibbo gave us a full disc early on in the month

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17224-sol-6-2-2020-ha/

Widefield

Ron Clarkegave us a couple of atmospheric constellations

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17193-a-couple-of-quickies/

ChrisP was at it again with his Redcat

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/17254-barnards-bogeyman-m78-et-aleven-more-data/

Ok so thats the round up now the difficult job of choosing one because the quality of images is superb this month, however management says I have to choose so here goes:-

The two images I keep going back to are ChisPs Earthshine Moon and Allan the Plumbers  IC410. So flicking between the two I reckon Allans IC410 (the starry version)just gets my vote this month, well done Allan and all who posted pics, keep em coming.
