Bottletopburly

Recommended Posts

Just dug the mak out and has fungus on the corrector plate on my mak so been on you tube looks fairly straight forward to remove plate , which looks like it’s been off before , the only comments in video  were to mark position of plate orientation before removing which wasn’t done in video so what cloths and Soloution should I use or any other tips , I need to make a plate up to take my spare autofocuser which was reason for digging out need to store in house me thinks next time with desiccant bags or rice .

Definitely mark the plate and reassemble back in the same position.

Warm soapy water is your friend here.

Let it soak for a bit then gently wipe off the fungus with a very soft clean cloth.

Rinse with clean water or if you have it distilled water.

Allow to completely dry before reassembly.
