1/2 hour window managed to grab 9 avis with the modded pst and DMK21 and pack away before the rain returned

best 500 of 1000 frames processed batch mode registax 6 tweaked and coloured in PS

Ugh! wish I'd got the solar scope out yesterday - I was too busy procrastinating about the weather and decided it wouldn't be worth it. Very interesting activity and great shots Steve :)

Wow Steve they are fantastic, lovely to see what was going on in Ha, I had a quick look in white light but didnt have time or inclination to image it, Too busy watch Le Tour

Mine is a modified pst

a standard PST has a 1/4 whit camera fitting on the base

no problem for a EQ5

With regards to the first and second pictures (the solar flare shots), was that just luck that you managed to get them or were you watching for them on some sort of solar prediction website?

I do look at the Gong network

but I have only once in 4 years of having the Ha scope not seen a prom of some sort OK not always massive but they are there

If the filaments in 6&7 last they should give good proms when they go round the other side of the sun
