hello all. i am probably a perfect example of what graham is talking about. i live in warrington in cheshire and i came here to this forum for one reason. to ask graham for help. i was recommended to come and ask him( from the uk astronomy page on facebook) for help as i had blown the chips on my goto dob and couldn't even book an appointment with any of the telescope shops to diagnose the faults. i was under the impression that graham possibly did the work for a fee and was very happy to pay as i'm certain that i would be charged 1 arm and possible a leg for the repair/new parts. i also posted in the stargazers lounge and have received help there. i'm just pointing out that graham obviously became "the goto guy" no pun intended and as a result its all got a bit too much. i would suggest that if you do come back graham and you do help people in the future you should at least ask for some sort of payment "even just to a charity of your choosing" as the work you have done for people is clearly invaluable to those receiving your help.  good look in whatever future you choose but your skills will be sorely missed i feel but not as much as your presence on the forum

I think it was about 5 years ago that you kindly made me a 2” spacer/back for my C8 SCT.
