I've been there a couple of times when I lived in Peterborough, all to do with Mary Queen of Scots who was imprisoned there on her to London for execution.. Ron It was shut yesterday only grounds open ,she was beheaded at fotheringhay and her ghost is said to be seen on the stairs at the talbot hotel in oundle ,stairs said to be from the castle ,i want to do a star trail here sure i'm it would look good ,church gets lit up at night. Like you I want to go back when those nights are just that little bit darker. Do you remember the Sandy Denny track, absolutely haunting voice, and one of my favourite Sandy tracks..
