Hi folks.

Well the weather forcast for last night was dismal as usual.

I check the sky at around 10.30 and to my amazment it was clearish.

So I set the obs going to try and capture M 57.

Shooting 60 second subs at ISO 800 on my unmodded 350 D I set to work.

I had to shoot the subs one at a time through the gaps in the clouds.

The total subs I managed was well over 100 but I had to bin over 60.

I ended up with 43 decent subs before the clouds blanked out what little sky I had and with lightning lighting up the horizon I decided to call it a night.

Net result was 43 lights and 51 darks.

Stacked in DSS and poorly processed in PS.

For a first attempt at this target and given the method used to get the subs I am quite pleased with the result.

Thanks

Graham
