A few more videos taken today

 

Vorticella

 

The white circle within it's body is called the contractile vacuole

 

Watch the way it retracts in the first video.

 

 

 

 

Euplotes

 

One of the only ciliates that can walk on the hairs around it's body. These hairs are called ventral cirri and are strong enough to enable it to walk.
