Tramway Museum Moonrise

Ron was asking me the other day about whether the shot I'd taken was near Crich Tramway Museum.

For those of you haven't been it's great place (when it's open which it sadly isn't currently), they have a load of trams and operate them on a scenic track which is about a mile long.

Even better is the fact that it has an active pub, so you can sit and have a pint and a pastie with trams travelling past your toes.

It's about a mile from home, so I headed up to Crich to try and get a moonrise above the nearby Crich Stand. But I micalculated, so the only option was to try and catch the moonrise over the museum. It's not that pretty from the side. The building on the right is a side on view of the old Derby Assembly Room fronatge, which was transported there brick by brick....

Shot below was a 100mm shot. (Click and click again in Flickr for full resolution on these shots)

This is a closer 300mm shot from the same location.. you can see the (very dark) frontage at the right of the picture.
