Rising of the Moon

Yes, some more moon, I know, but hopefully a bit different. Set up my intervalometer to take pictures every 4 minutes, that should be
equivalent to 1 degree of arc. Then took a single frame at each of those periods, and converted into a time lapse in Photoshop.

Some interesting lens aberrations going on, but as well as the moon moving, it's nice to see Orion rising at the bottom, just to the left
of the house in the last few frames.

 Yeah, a lens aberration I think, it does though doesn't it!

Yeah, thanks Dave. It's a bit of a faff to do but I think they're interesting. Photoshop provides a 'timeline' faciliity, and you import all of your images as layers, and then enable each layer a time and add afreame to the 'movie'.

 

I fancy doing an image of Orion rising on it's own when we have no moon. Although I had a heater band on the lens, the gear actually froze after two hours and stopped working. I'll have to think about  that one! Maybe tuck it in witha hot water bottle!
