Hi everyone - here's last nights Zoom discussion on masking in Pixinsight. Next session will be 23rd March @ 7:00pm and will cover Dynamic Background Extraction and Colour calibration. I did a stack, DBE and EZ noise this afters.

I could not get it to stack last night.

 

unsure if I've applied the cali frames properly.

Bit difficult to see on my phone. Looks like DBE did a good job on background extraction but EZ left you with some noise. That could easily be corrected using TGV de noise or Multi Linear Transform with an appropriate mask which would allow you to stretch it a bit more afterwards

Went through the Light Vortex super bias etc process early this morning.

Just done a DBE and final tweak in PS

Very basic pixie question -

I have what I think is a decent rendition of Thors in PI but how the beep beeping do you get it into a format for the web without destroying the black and white points?

Figured it out.

Stacked and tweaked in PI x 2 EXnoise reduction and a swift final tweak in PS
