At least you got something. Made solar filters for the bins so I could grab a look while at work. Waste of solar filter!

I still have and indeed used today my homemade Baader solar film filter i made for my then new, Canon 15x50s

This was for the Venus transit of 2004. Its still going strong ! 😀

Well done Rob, great shot, I travelled to Bridlington and got over half hour of images to add to my collection. I, too, am an eclipse addict - it really is infectious isn't it.

I think if i was a single bloke, and not now seemingly imprisoned indefinitely on these shores, i'd travel all over the world to see them.

I know a chap who's done just that ; he was in Chile the other year to see one. Quite jealous, i've always fancied a trip there, for the

dark skys, the observatories and southern stars etc. And the wine.....
