You did better than most. 👍

I am still waiting for YouTube to release my stream so I can edit the video.

Thanks. It's not the image that I had in my head (and wanted to get) but of course it's all thanks to the British weather!! 🙈

In true fashion, an hour after it was over, the sun was shining brightly 😡😫

Ahh, do you have a link to your stream?

I was so looking forward to today! My first try at taking a photo of the sun, and a partial eclipse.

I bought a Baader solar filter for my telescope and even got up early (for me 😂).

After spending three hours in the garden, this was the best I could get, when the clouds parted for about 10 seconds! 😫

Epic fail but I am so happy I got a photo 😊

I think it looks very dramatic and atmospheric with the clouds. I see it more as an artistic epic lol.

I think we were all hoping for more but, as others have said, you managed an image under difficult conditions. For a relative newcomer, you are doing very well. In fact. I would say you are doing well for an experienced astrophotographer.

Now you have your first solar photo, you will now become hopelessly addicted.

Thank you 😊
