Guest Posted August 9, 2021 Share Posted August 9, 2021 A few days ago, I saw a thread about a mystery object (on another forum) and many people thought that it could be a head-on meteor. That the image was very wide-field, so that made a head-on explanation more likely. I'm sorry to the original poster I couldn't find it. I was trying to catch Perseid meteors (zero so far this year!) when I caught what looked like a "guest star"/UFO in Ursa Minor. By taking a closer look and adjusting the contrast, I could see a faint trail. Of course, this is not definitive proof of anything but it tips the odds somewhat. I have also caught similar events while doing meteor or deep sky shots. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
