Milky Way Holloway

Nice Dave, I used to be able to see the Milky Way from my back garden. It was faint but I could make it out but with the ever increasing expansion of Derby it has gone from my skies now

I'm at the bottom of Pastures Hill , near the Nuffield hospital. That would be great but unfortunately I don't drive so getting to a dark site is a bit of a problem for me.

Well we ought to get you there one night at least. Rob (binoviewer) lives in Daley Abbey, so maybe I could pick you up one day, and Rob could drop you back?

Yes, I know Rob, we are both members of the Derby and District Astronomical society. We used to have some of our committee meetings at Rob's when we were both on the committee.

Next time you see a dark sky meeting at Belper being organised, send me a PM, and I'll talk to Rob and see what we can set up Dave
