The nights are drawing in again and winter is on it,s way as the Pleiades show themselves earlier in the evening, where did summer go? Sigh.

As the nights have got longer there have been more postings of luvly astro pictures, so here is a brief round up of what folks have been doing:

Comets, Asteroids, Meteors & Meteorites

Quite a few hits on Grahams Meteor detector from august

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/19869-august-meteor-detection-hits/

Sunnyphil caught a meteor

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/19919-lyrid-2020/

Deep Sky

Ibbo kicked us off with a deep Ha shot of the Cave

then he gave us a close up of the Elephants Trunk

Love the colours in Steves Bubble in SHO

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20049-ngc-7635-sho/

Peter Shah gave us a Pelican from Spain

ChrisP also had the Pelican with the Cygnus Wall

Lunar

Graham gave us tour around the moon with the RC

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20016-a-trip-around-mr-blobby/

I like Peter Shahs HDR of the moon taken with the Epsilon. Nice to see this view done straight from the scope instead of masks in Photoshop

plus a Milky Way

https://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/topic/20038-milky-way-holloway/

So, some great photos posted this month, keep em coming folks, thats what we like to see.

I am torn again. Yep it,s another close one, this time with 3 posts which have made me sit up straight.

·         I like the detail and colour in Ibbos Elephants Trunk.

·         The amount of stuff going on in Carastros image of the Iris and nearby dark nebula is striking.

·         Now. I am going to be controversial here and include a posting from a non gallery area, Grahams video on Servicing an AZ EQ6. Great stuff for those wanting to have a go and yes I reckon this is just as much about Astronomy as photos of objects or observing reports. Good one Graham.

So it only remains for me to  choose one.....hmmmmm.

OK, flipping between them again, I reckon Ibbos Elephants Trunk in SHO. A top notch image in colour, detail and processing if ever I saw one.
