Counterweight

Bit of a long shot, but is anyone wishing to part with or has a spare 7-10kg EQ mount counterweight they're looking to sell? Suitable for a 20mm diameter bar at a reasonable price.

I nearly fell of my chair when I saw what new ones retail for. 😬

Celestron, Sky-Watcher,  home built etc not fussed what brand, tbh.

Thanks,

Kev

ABS is your best bet Kev, the issue is perhaps the cost of posting a heavy weight as well as the actual cost of the weight itself.

Have you considered a barbell weight ??

I have an old Celestron 5kg weight from a cg5 knocking about.  You are welcome to it if it's any good to you.

Yes Rob, I've looked on abs but haven't found anything suitable.

I've currently been using a 5kg weights plate threaded onto the end of the cw bar, but the whole setup is a little too Heath Robinson even for my liking. I've never been 100% happy with it.

Ooh that might be ideal, Doug.
