Been having real grief with open carrier waves for several months now.

Got up and running again after my computer malfunction and I now have a bunch of strange signals.

Any ideas would be welcome as to how I can rid myself of these.

I should add I am running a Fun Cube dongle V2

And even higher.

Eventually it will disappear off the top of my chart.

Strange? What frequency is it Graham?

If you look at the frequency scale on the right hand side Ron it will tell you what each of them is.

The big carrier wave starts off below my scale and finishes above it.

It just keeps cycling over and over

Am I right in assuming Spectrum Lab uses the PC sound card? The lines appear to be about 140 Hz apart. What's the refresh rate of your monitor?

I will check that out in the morning Clive.

What is your thinking.

I have had the same set up running 24/7 for over 3 years now but these lines are a very recent occurrence.

Is this the PC you've just had repaired? I was thinking it must be some pickup of the harmonics of something ticking away. If it does use the PC sound card, if you disconnect the input do they go away?

Hi Clive

The freak carrier wave started a few months back and the lines started a week before the pc crashed after the power cut.

If I unplug the input (dongle) everything goes away 😂

The set up works like this.

Antenna ----> Dongle ( radio receiver ) -----> computer ( Spec Lab ) ------> Screen

Ok, I hadn't realised you have had the straight lines for some time. It's not sourced in the PC then.

I guess the antenna is connected to the dongle via a long length of coax so if you haven't already tried it I would suggest disconnecting the cable from the antenna at the antenna end and see what happens.

interesting thing happened this afternoon.

All the interference stopped for a couple of hours but has since resumed.
