Popular Post +Derbyshire Dave Posted April 20, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted April 20, 2022 I've been meaning for a long time to try out Chesterfield Astronomical Society's solarscope. The scope is made by Isle of Man company 'Solarscope' and works in Ha So went over there yesterday evening, and set up the scope on my old Vixen sphix mount. Not the best time of day, it was about 18:30 when I started, and it was hazy too. Still, it was very exciting, the visual views were fantastic. Connected up my ZWO 174mm via a star daiginal and managed to get a few 100 frame videos which I processed in AutoStakkert, Registax and Photoshop.. Those are the Solarscopes we saw last month at the PAS show Dave. Run by Helmut Kessler who did the talk. Very nice but they cost a bob or two. Some of his gear is in 5 figure territory. As for inverted and mirror reversed, and indeed rotation (I can put my cam in in any direction), any help you have as to what is the correct way to do things would be most welcome..
