Evening All,

 

We will be holding our annual solar observing event at the Shipley Park Visitor Centre, Heanor, this Saturday (June 25th).  Members will have telescopes fitted with special filters to allow safe viewing of the Sun.  Please never look directly at the Sun without correct safety measures.  Members of the public are welcome to look through our member’s equipment free of charge; donations are welcomed and go towards the running of the Society.

 

We will be at the Visitor Centre from around 10:30am till 4pm.  If it is cloudy or raining, we’ll be setting up our display boards and equipment in the Green Room.  Members will be on hand to answer all your astronomical questions, and we’ll have a variety of automated  presentations going on throughout the day.

 

This is our replacement day for the previously cancelled event.
