24 Hrs on NGC1333.

That's 24 hours and counting because the close up version will need at least 20 hours on its own. To explain...

This is a widefield LRGB in the Tak FSQ85 with 12 hours needed to get the dusty stuff. Opinion varies but I think the brown dusts need lots of RGB, not just lots of luminance. I hate using noise reduction but in these cases I can't seem to avoid it.

Yves Van den Broek and I are also working on the main nebula in the 14 inch ODK. With 12 hours in the can there was enough signal to scale down the long FL image and blend it onto the widefield to boost resolution. It looks like we'll need seven all night runs on the target to finish it at 2.4 metres. We love this object, though.

That is simply beautiful! Looks like pure gold pouring from the centre of that object! Stunning image Olly! Absolutely beautiful. I could stare at that for ages and see more and more!
