Pegasus Astro Smarteye

I've just come across this new smart EP on FLO. It'll be interesting when more info comes out. Other than the IMX533 sensor the sales blurb was fairly vague. I'm not sure how popular smart scopes are but I guess this could be a bridge between them and normal observing. I don't imagine it's going to be particularly cheap though.

So there was more spec than I thought, all the sales talk made my brain switch off 😄

Not cheap (i did hear some figures not sur eif they were acurate) but I would imagine for large outreach groups it would be a winner

That's true, it'd be a good bit of kit for public displays. I've not done any live stacking with my hypercam yet. I assume you'd need some kind of auto tracking for it to work rather than doing it by hand?

£1500 +/- so i've heard.

Absurd.

Like the junk smartscopes, i'll stay well clear.

My £0.02p

I wasn't expecting that much!! You could get an astro camera and little refractor for that. I like Pegasus stuff so no doubt it will be very well made, but can't really see a market for it at that price.
